Develop and assess the psychometric property test on Burdened Care Caregiver Scale-Thai Version for Schizophrenia and Co-occurring Methamphetamine Use

Objective: The objective of the present study was to develop Thai version Impact and Burden Care Scale for Caregivers Persons with Schizophrenia Co-occurring Methamphetamine Use (TIBSCSM) test its psychometric properties. Methods: This instrument development research subjects were 142 caregivers persons schizophrenia co-occurring methamphetamine use. Sample size adequacy tested by Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO), Bartlett's sphericity item correlation matrix. second-order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) used theoretical model. Results 32-item TIBSCSM showed convergent validity correlations two quality-of-life measures. Additionally, KMO=0.9, Bartlett’s Test Sphericity χ2=5248.5, df=496, p<0.001, CVI =1, internal consistency reliability high (α=0.9). CFA has shown that findings are supported models (χ2=325.2, df=287, RMSEA=0.0, CFI =0.9). Conclusion: The scale potential benefits psychiatric nurses care teams measure impact burden use in areas nursing, research, education, clinical determination. results suggested mental health team assess schizophrenic caregiver both purposes, especially during COVID-19 pandemic providing relieve care. Implication nursing research: is a new tool developed context, it may replicate studies evaluate variations across settings.
